Let’s Create A New World Of Love And Connection – Night Of Power Message

Ramadan Night Of Destiny (Night of Power) – Lailat-Ul-Qadr

Dear Friends and true believers all around the world,

This is a very important time to all of the Muslims and all of the people all around the world. As I mentioned before, this night doesn’t belong only to the Muslims, it belongs to all of humanity. This night can be peace – and harmony – and connection – for all of the hearts of the people – if we can use the right key to open all of the doors, gates, and barriers in our hearts.

In the Muslim tradition it is said that in this night the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), and all of the light of the Spirit came to the heart of all believers, even from many different faiths, during this night.

In “The Night Of Honor/Power” in the Quran – Chapter 97, we read:

“ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is? The night of Power is better than a thousand Months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand: Peace! … This until the rise of Morn!”

In this chapter we can find great things from God. He revealed to us that he revealed the Quran on this night during Ramadan, and it’s said that this night is better than a thousand months. It’s also said that during this night God can write the next year for all people – their money, health, etc. – and that this night will be peaceful from the beginning until the end of the night.

We can also look to the internal meaning of this verse. We know that the night is dark, but God wants to make this night peaceful and luminous, a night of power and honor for all people – what does this mean? This is a message for us to clean our own inner night, our inner darkness, and that we can create within ourselves a night of power and honor. Thus we can enlighten our hearts, minds, and our whole being. From this clean, bright state we can invite all people around the world saying: Come, lets work together, bring peace and love, and stop all radical and violent action around the world.

I am very sad every time I hear about anyone killed or murdered anywhere around the world – like in the Turkish Airport, and like in the settlement where a 13-yr old Israeli girl was just murdered, and like what happens to the Palestinians in the Palestinian territories. We must call during this Night of Power on all the radicals and extremists: listen to the words of God, and feel them in your heart – if you only read the words of God you can connect with the external and conceptual meanings, but if you feel these words we can truly create a new meaning for ourselves and a new way for this world.

In the Muslim tradition, it is said that on the Lailat-ul-qadr God will give everything to everyone for their whole life. Another meaning of this night is the night of honor, and another that this night carries us to a very high state of being. During this night we have that opportunity to create our prayer, our own prayer, a deep prayer. Whether this prayer is collective or individual nevermind this idea but remember to be in good connection not only between ourselves and God but also with others, for truly others can be a good bridge to God for each of us. On this night we must also look look within to examine all faults and errors and ask forgiveness and and correct what was done falsely.

This is the night that can take you on wings to the highest states and can bring you so close to your roots and origin as a human being in God! This night gives the chance to explore our ideas of the heaven that we want to experience here on Earth, the one we must create.

I want to say to the clergy around the world, please create a new vision and a new interpretation and commentary about all our sacred texts, and teach the people through the ethical tools not only through religious knowledge and theology, because ethical things belong and come from God also. The knowledge also comes from God, but it can become dry sometimes. When it’s dry we need to add something to that knowledge to make it soft and more alive – we need to add deep feeling, ethical righteousness, and connection with God. From today please take your responsibility now, and begin to change the ways of thinking and teaching our fellow human beings. We need to create a new world of love, connection, and harmony starting today.

Thank you, salaam alaykum,

Sheikh Ghassan Manasra
