The Abrahamic Reunion met with a group of Jewish students from Oakland (CA) Hebrew Day School, Wednesday evening March 29th, at Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh in the Negev region of southern Israel.
Director Eliyahu McLean, Chairman of the Board Imam Khalil Albaz and his wife, Sana Albaz spoke about the work for peace and Arab Jewish cooperation. Imam Khalil and Sana spoke about the importance of integrating the Bedouin Muslim community, in an equal and just way, into Israeli society.
The students had never met a Bedouin man or women, and were excited to share what they learned when they return to Oakland in a few days.
