DESCRIPTION:The Abrahamic Reunion has two programs that have been accepted for the 2021 Virtual Parliament of World’s Religions! \nSave the dates for this hallmark multifaith event and plan to join the peacebuilders for two incredible days. \n(Registration with the Parliament of Religions Required.) \n \nPeacebuilders of the Holy Land: Choosing Hope Over Despair\nThe Peacebuilders of the Abrahamic Reunion  \nwith Rabbi Leora Ezrachi-Vered\, Sheikh Moafaq Tareef\, Fr. Firas Diab\, and Sheikha Najah Kabaha \nSunday\, October 17th\, 10am EDT \nA conflict that has continued for more than 70 years. Two peoples who once co-inhabited the same lands now continually at odds. Endemic misinformation\, racism\, political maneuvering. \nHow do these Palestinians and Israelis continue to choose hope for harmonious coexistence and a peaceful solution in the Holy Land? \nJoin us for an intimate hour to hear the personal stories and perspectives of the men\, women\, and youth building peace in the Holy Land – Muslim\, Jewish\, Christian\, Samaritan\, and Druze – interviewed and hosted by Sheikh Ghassan Manasra. \n\nYoung Peacebuilders of Palestine & Israel\nBuilding Bridges\, Dissolving Walls \nwith Sajedah Akram\, Malkon Marizian\, Hala Halabi\, and Dvir Warshovsky \nMonday\, October 18th\, 11am EDT \nCome meet the next generation of multifaith peacebuilders in Palestine and Israel! \nThese young women and men–Muslim\, Jewish\, Christian\, and Druze– have chosen to create heart-felt interreligious connections among themselves. Born into decades of conflict and a climate of growing division\, extremism\, and violence\, these young\, courageous\, and contemplative Muslim\, Jewish\, Christian\, and Druze men and women are choosing to create heart-felt interreligious connections amongst themselves. They believe in loving their neighbor (Christian Bible)\, that the purpose of human diversity is to “know one another” as human beings (Quran)\, and that if one life is saved it is as if all lives were saved (Talmud). They have spent the pandemic learning from the first generation of Abrahamic Reunion peacebuilders (cir. 2004) in multi-religious text studies and meetings online. \nBorn into decades of conflict and a climate of growing division\, extremism\, and violence\, these courageous and contemplative young men and women are choosing to create heart-felt interreligious connections with one another as human beings.  Without any political agenda\, these young Peacemakers visit each other’s holy spaces\, trade stories\, and connect the common threads between their religions and cultures to restore the Abrahamic roots that support understanding\, healing\, trust\, and a peaceful and balanced Palestinian-Israeli society. \nPlease join us for a panel presentation from these young leaders to hear why and how they continue to embrace each other and to wage peace. \n  \nFull Parliament Agenda \nRegister for the 2021 Virtual Parliament of Religions
