SUMMARY:Interfaith Sukkot Celebration\, London UK
DESCRIPTION:October 16th\, 4 – 9pm – Informal talk/Interfaith celebration of the Jewish festival\, Sukkot\, to be held at the home of Leonora and Jonathan Samuels\, London NW4; open to friends and those of all religions. \nPlease email us if you’re intending to come at amanda@kenton.gb.com for further details. \n‘On Sukkot\, it’s customary to read Chapter 14 from the prophet Zechariah”…who “hoped Sukkot could be an opportunity for shared healing after regional war. “The survivors of every nation\,” he wrote\, “will ascend to Jerusalem year after year\, to worship the God beyond all armies\, and to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot” (Zechariah 14:16). Camping together\, making music\, cooking food\, sharing customs and creating new ones at an annual week-long interfaith festival: that was Zechariah’s visionary plan for regional healing. We don’t begin with political dialogue\, theological comparison\, or even shared stories of hurt and joy. Instead\, we simply practice together in joy\, one week a year.’ (http://www.myjewishlearning.com/rabbis-without-borders/sukkot-our-interfaith-hippie-re-visioning-festival/)

SUMMARY:Prayer For The Syrian People\, at the Syria Border with James Twyman
DESCRIPTION:PRAYER FOR THE SYRIAN PEOPLE\, SYRIAN BORDER\, W/ PEACE CONCERT BY JAMES TWYMAN\n\n\nThe Golan Heights\, on the Syrian border of Israel\, are often uncomfortably close to the fighting with Daesh. Visiting peace musician James Twyman will perform a concert\, and tomorrow\, Feb. 1st\, the Abrahamic Reunion will bring Jews\, Muslims\, Christians\, and Druze to pray focus prayers and thoughts for the suffering of the people of Syria. We will gather at the Mt. Bental and other lookout points overlooking southern Syria. \nJames Twyman is advertising this to the whole world\, and seeking to make this the largest synchronized peace vigil in history. See his email blast here. \nPlease join this email wherever you are:\n10am EST\n7am PST\n3pm London Time\n5pm Israel \nThere has become a rather grim trend in Golan Heights called “war-watching” – where tourists come to watch the fighting in Syria from these mountains\, some with chips\, beer\, and binoculars. We will use these overlooks to pray for the people of Syria. As Twyman writes on his website\, that prayer is “the most powerful force on Earth.” \nFrom Eliyahu McLean:\nIn 2004\, I joined a multi-faith journey led by peace musician James Twyman from Amman to Baghdad\, to pray for the peace of the Iraqi\, and Israeli\, people\, and the world. This is a picture of our gathering outside the National Theater in downtown Baghdad. This Monday\, Feb. 1\, thousands globally will send their focused prayers to join us again\, as we journey\, G-d willing\, Israelis\, Palestinians\, and internationals\, to pray for the Syrian people\, meters away from ISIS\, Nusra Front and Hizballah controlled territory on the Golan Heights border of southern Syria. Please join us in person\, or in intention\, for a ceasefire in Syria\, for the healing of the Syrian people\, and wider Abrahamic family. \nNews Article About The Peace Vigil: “Folk Singer To Go to Syria to Bring Peace to ISIS” \nVideo from James Twyman\n \nEvent Contact: Eliyahu McLean\, +972-(0)58-7578522 \n\nChecks should be made out to “The Abrahamic Reunion” and mailed to 2372 Arden Drive\, Sarasota FL 34232\n\nDonate by credit card over the phone: (941) 993-9994\n\nDonate Now To Support Peacemaking In The Holy Land – European Donations Click Here\n\nIn continual thanks\,\n\nChris Miller\nAbrahamic Reunion US Coordinator\nFor All The Abrahamic Reunion\n \n\n\nDonate To The Abrahamic Reunion Click Here
