DESCRIPTION:Ramadan Gathering with Khalil Albaz after the Attack\nOn Zoom with Sheikh Ghassan Manasra\, David Less\, Rabbi Nagen\, & other AR Peacebuilders\nThursday\, April 22nd\, 11:00 am EDT  /  4:00 pm London  /  6:00 pm Israel\nClick here to RSVP \n \nThank you to all who have responded so far to the attack on one of our Co-Founders\, Khalil Albaz\, Muezzein of the Bedouin Community in Tel Sheva. This was shocking to all of us — and our response\, to strengthen our peacebuilding\, is needed to show peacebuilders will not be intimidated by violence. \nIf you haven’t contributed but would like to\, you can click here to make a donation of any amount.  \nKnow that Khalil is well\, recovering at home with his wife and fellow AR Co-Founder Sana Albaz\, and that they have security watching over them. None of the five stab wounds threatened any of his vital organs or function\, thankfully\, as he was able to shout for help and protect himself until neighbors came outside and scattered the attackers. \nKhalil wants to share some of his experience and thoughts with the Abrahamic Reunion community on Zoom. As it’s Ramadan\, we’ll meet with Khalil before they break the fast in Israel\, and are having some nice food delivered to him and his family as part of the event for their Iftar (breaking of the fast) meal. \nPlease keep Khalil\, Sana\, and all the peacebuilders’ safety and health in your thoughts and prayers.

DESCRIPTION:“Ziyarat al-Nabi Shu’ayb” Druze Holiday Multifaith Celebration\nWith Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif\, Anat Lev Or\, Sheikh Khalid Abu Ras\, David Less\, & Sheikh Ghassan Manasra\n\n\n \n11am EDT / 4pm London / 6pm Jerusalem\n Dear Friends\, \nYou are invited to this online\, multifaith celebration of the Druze Holiday Zirayat al-Nabi Shuaib\, with commentary from the Head of the Druze Community in Israel\, Mowafaq Tarif\, in addition to other peacebuilders from the Abrahamic Reunion — Anat Lev Or\, Sheikh Khalid Abu Ras\, David Less\, and Sheikh Ghassan Manasra. \nThis holiday is a 3-day feast commemorating the Prophet Jethro\, the founder of the Druze faith. The main feature of this holiday is pilgrimage to the tomb of Prophet Jethro (Father-in-law of Moses)\, in the Galilee. \nJoin us in wishing well and celebrating with our Druze friends their sacred holiday!   \n  \n\nSheikh Mowafaq Tarif\n\n\n\nShaykh Mowafaq Tarīf is the current spiritual leader of the Druze community in Israel. Tarif was born in 1963 in the city of Julis. Since 1753\, his family has been leading the Druze community in Mandatory Palestine and then Israel. In 1993\, he inherited the position of spiritual leader from his grandfather\, Shaykh Amin Tarif.   \n  \nAnat Lev Or\nAnat Lev Or from Israel\, is a mother and spiritual teacher and companion for over 30 years. Anat accompanies people in the process of growth and change\, as well as businessmen through spiritual\, practical\, and business aspects.  Anat has been Ghassan Manasra’s partner for 25 years in building projects that are shared by all religions\, working as peacemakers and establishing study groups such as a program for teachers and school executives from all religions\, Muslims\, Christians\, and Jews. She helps organized also family encounters so different religious groups can recognize one another and that their children will meet and recognize a different culture. She has taught groups the Sufi way through peace and love including poetry\, philosophy\, etc. \nSheikh Khalid Abu Ras PhD AL-IMAN Mosque\, Kefar Eillut – Nazareth.\nSheikh Khalid Abu Ras serves as Imam of AL-IMAN Mosque at Kefar Eillut-Nazareth since 2005. He has worked in interfaith dialogue and relations for decades in the Holy Land with Yakar and YESODOT in Jerusalem\, Herbew University\, as a Co-Founder and Co-Director of Anwar Al-Salaam Lights of Peace Society in Nazareth\, and in many programs with the Abrahamic Reunion\, hosting the 2017 Multifaith Iftar Dinner. He teaches Arabic Language & Literature formerly at Beit Safafa High School\, and currently at Kefar Eillut Secondary School.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Less\n\n\n\nAbrahamic Reunion US Board Chair \n\n\n\nDavid Less is a global teacher of meditation and interfaith dialog of over forty years. For over a decade he was the Global Dean of the Universal Worship\, an organization in over thirty countries\,that honors the commonality in all religions and appreciates and respects the differences. He is the founder of Anwar-Il-Salaam\, the Lights of Peace Center in Nazareth\, and  is Director\, Islamic Cultural Center in Nazareth.
