On the evening of September 29th, 2025, the Abrahamic Reunion held a highly significant and inspiring event in Tel Aviv in partnership with the Schechter Families Foundation and Neve Schechter. The event, titled “Where Are We Going?”, took place during the reflective period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur- a time traditionally devoted to introspection, renewal, and the search for moral clarity.

The gathering drew approximately 200 participants, the vast majority of whom were Jewish, with a small number of Muslims and a few Christians. The audience included community members, spiritual seekers, academics, and individuals drawn to meaningful interfaith dialogue.

All scheduled speakers attended in person, with one exception: Professor Habiba Abadiya, from Ben-Gurion University, who could not travel due to illness and delivered her lecture via Zoom. Her remote participation was seamlessly integrated into the evening.

Throughout the event, every speaker addressed shared concerns about the future, the state of society, and the moral responsibilities placed upon all communities. A common theme unified the evening’s contributions: the urgent longing for the end of the war and a collective prayer for peace, healing, and the renewal of hope. Most attendees expressed strong agreement with the messages presented, and the atmosphere was one of deep resonance and shared aspiration.

According to Sheikh Ghassan, International Director of Abrahamic Reunion, this gathering was not only successful but also, “the beginning of a new phase.” He emphasized that this event will serve as a foundation for future intellectual, academic, and interfaith meetings, strengthening AR’s work in Tel Aviv and broadening its partnerships. The evening opened a window for new conversations, internal and external- offering a path toward repairing what is broken, individually and collectively.

The event concluded with a strong sense of unity, mutual respect, and a desire to walk together toward a more hopeful future. It was, in every sense, a meaningful and impactful evening that left participants inspired and eager for continued engagement.
