Young Peacebuilders Training (YPT) — 2025 Cohort begins 3-year training!

Abrahamic Reunion works with young Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and Samaritan Israelis and Palestinians to offer training in peacebuilding practices, trauma-informed awareness, and intercultural leadership skills in it’s Young Peacebuilders Training (YPT).

In August 2025, a cohort of 12 young peacebuilders began a 3-year training. Zoom meetings led to a 1-week intensive program in Wetzlar, Germany, with a full-day intercultural excursion to Frankfurt to experience the Jewish Cultural Museum, the Abu Baqr Mosque, and St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, along with the bustle and culture of Frankfurt.

Each year of the Young Peacebuilders’ Training is structured to develop their intercultural awareness, interreligious dialogue facilitation, trauma sensitivity, and leadership skills. YPT participants engage, volunteer, and present at Abrahamic Reunion’s programs in the Holy Land and online, and receive mentorship from Abrahamic Reunion’s leadership throughout the training.

The Abrahamic Reunion is training a cohort of Israeli and Palestinian Young Peacebuilders from all the major faiths in the Holy Land: Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Druze. Key peacebuilding skills are taught experientially through encounter, dialogue, historical and religious site-visits, exercises, Virtual Reality (VR), lectures from leading peacebuilders, and later in the year, an extended overnight camping trip.

This program is being coordinated by Israeli Programs Director Abed Manasra, Amutah Assistant Roie Kleitman, and International Director Sheikh Ghassan Manasra.

Since 2018, the Abrahamic Reunion has conducted 35 events and trainings for 948 youth and young adults from the different faiths and cultures of the Holy Land. These courageous young leaders and youth have come together to get to know each others’ faiths, thoughts, leaders, ideas, and sites; they have met online via Zoom, participated in multi-faith text studies, used Virtual Reality modules from the

Paths to Peace Foundation (P2P) and Peace Literacy Institute (PLI), they have volunteered at Abrahamic Reunion Peace Summits, painted a mural together, presented at the Parliament of the World’s Religions, and traveled across the country for peace!

These youth represent the future of the peacebuilding movement, carrying hope for a better life.
