Friends, at a meeting with the Young Peacebuilders just days ago, Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Zeller, who is one of the trainers in “From Pain to Peace: Young Peacebuilders Training,” offered this message about trauma healing and Passover. I want to bless everyone for Passover.
Passover is about intergenerational trauma. We look at the stories that happened to us, and we try finding words together with our family, to speak of the things that happened to us that have no name. Because each of us have things like that in our life.
So Passover is about that, it’s about finding the words for the pain, for the difficulty. And our freedom depends on that, in the trauma work we’re doing.
So I’m sending you all Chag Sameach from Israel. My heart is with you, and I bless you all with a beautiful, beautiful holiday, wherever you’re celebrating, and wherever you live.
And may we all keep doing beautiful and gentle peace work that we’re doing, of healing step after step. Every time we meet we’re healing a little bit of trauma in this world.
